First of the Helsings, he adapted the Sun Warriors' methods and combined it with the knowledge Western civilization had on Vampires in order to eradicate the Vampire scourge.
Background
Originally from Torta, Richter found his way to Sulia on a trip with his noble parents.
During the trip, they were murdered and turned to Vampires by the then-ruler of the lands, Dracula.
After witnessing his parents being turned into Vampires, he sought to free them from the hell they were made to live, and take revenge on Dracula for leaving him an orphan.
Hearing rumors of a vampire hunting order in Nojo, he caught a boat with what meager savings he had in order to seek out the Sun Warriors and learn their ways.
After spending two decades training under the Sun Warriors, he came back to the Western continent in order to seek more ways of defeating Dracula.
Coming across ancient scriptures on dealing with Vampires, he merged the knowledge he received from the Sun Warriors with the Western vampire killing methods, and started his one-man war against Dracula
Killing His Parents
After weeks of taking down Dracula's lieutenants, using under-handed tactics and guerilla warfare, he finally made his way to Dracula's manor.
Climbing the steps to Dracula's throne room, he steeled his heart and strengthened his grip on his sword.
He was stopped by his parents, now Dracula's top-serving lieutenants.
He knew he would have to do this one day.
Reaching under his cloak, he grabbed hold of a garlic bomb, tossing it straight at his parents.
With the blood-curdling scream of a son having to kill his parents, in one swift motion he drove his Sun-infused sword deep into his father's heart, and shot a stake through his mother's heart.
Standing over the disintegrating bodies of his parents, he took a moment to reflect on his past memories.
Revenge on Dracula
Finally in the throne room, his eyes shooting daggers at Dracula who is looking back at Richter with contempt.
Without saying a word, Dracula stands up from his stone throne and starts walking towards Richter.
Richter's eyes are locked on Dracula, focused on his movements and stature.
Dracula stops right in-front of Richter, looking down at the man as if he was looking at the carcass of a rat, rotting on the sidewalk.
"You're here for revenge. Most people are. But you're different. You know you have the opportunity, the knowledge, and the skills to beat me."
Richter was silent.
"... But do you?"
In a moment, Dracula disappears, reappearing behind Richter.
Dracula lets out a chuckle "You couldn't even follow me, don't over-estimate yourself, kid"
Richter is still looking dead ahead.
He quips "That all you got, monster?"
"I don't need to know where you are."
Dracula raises an eyebrow.
"Just where you will be"
Dracula looks down at his feet, it's a garlic bomb.
As Dracula tries to take a step back, Richter turns around and throws a dagger at Dracula.
Dracula slaps the knife out of the air, but he sees more knives coming towards him.
As Dracula gets pelted with the knives, Richter parts his coat to take out a crossbow.
"Like that? I learned that from one of your Lieutenants. Very crafty guy."
Taking careful aim, he tries to shoot Dracula right in his heart, but Dracula grabs the stake from out of the air.
Calmly, he says "It's going to take more than that."
Richter, without skipping a beat, pulls out another crossbow.
"No, this is all I need."
He drops the empty crossbow on his other hand, and grabs another from his coat.
Pinning Dracula's hands and feet into the ground with the stakes, dropping his crossbows each time and producing another from within his coat, he pins the Vampire lord to the ground.
Richter gives Dracula one last look, mirroring their earlier interaction, and drives one last stake into the vampire's heart, killing him for good.
Aftermath
Ridding Wallachia of Dracula, he returns to Torta, where he lives out his life training his children in the art of Vampire Hunting, and peacefully passes away at his castle, surrounded by his family.
